From We Are Spartacus:

The aim of this research project is to gather evidence of how the bedroom tax is affecting chronically sick and disabled people and their families.

It’s particularly important to understand whether the measures the government has put in place to mitigate its effects are working for tenants in different parts of the country.

Specifically, we need to find out about tenants’ experiences of applying for exemptions or discretionary housing payments

We’re looking for tenants affected by the ‘bedroom tax’ who have either applied for an exemption (on the basis of overnight care or for a disabled child) and/or applied for a discretionary housing payment. Please visit the main contact page at http://wearespartacus.org.uk/contact/ to send us a message, making sure you put ‘Bedroom tax research’ in the subject line of your email.

We will then arrange to ask you a few questions by email or telephone, whichever you prefer.

All replies will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and in the strictest confidence and will be included in our ongoing research into the impact of the bedroom tax upon chronically sick and disabled people and their families.

Thanks very much.
