Suffer little children, suffer.
According to figures released by the Child Poverty Action Group:
- Child poverty reduced dramatically between 1998 and 2011 when 1.1 million children were lifted out of poverty.
- But under current government austerity policies, child poverty is rising dramatically with an expected 600,000 more children living in poverty by 2016.
