‘Lord McAlpine, the former deputy chairman of the Conservative Party, has died aged 71.
His family announced the news this morning.
Known as Alistair McAlpine, Baron McAlpine of West Green was a businessman, author and politician best-known for his role as advisor to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.’
