ATOS to lose state benefits after being found unfit for work (not satire)

Reblogged from Pride's Purge:

(it's not satire - it's ATOS)

Bungling government contractor ATOS have just been told by Labour that they're going to be sacked if Ed Miliband's party wins the next election.

ATOS announced over a week ago that it had hired PR firm Edelman to "emphasise other strengths" of its businesses so it seems they already knew the writing was on the wall.- at least as far as its extremely lucrative contracts to conduct work capability assessments on behalf of the DWP are concerned.

Edelman - the world's largest PR company - will apparently try to develop the firm's standings in technology and media.

I presume the first thing Edelman will try to do is to persuade prospective clients in the technology and media sectors that they should forget the sheer criminal incompetence of ATOS in its attempts to fulfil the DWP contracts - something which has cost the UK taxpayer at least £754m in wasted fees.

Edlelman might be the world's most powerful PR company - it's employed by Murdoch's News International to help him dig himself out of the phone hacking cesspit - but we mere mortals will just have to make sure Edelman doesn't succeed in the case of ATOS, won't we?

Lest we ever forget.
