‘A married couple received payouts of almost £1 million when they were made redundant from their posts as NHS managers, only to be re-employed by the health service a few months later.
They were among around 50 senior staff members who received payouts of more than £100,000 when 161 statutory bodies were abolished earlier this year, according to accounts.
Around a dozen of those have been taken on again in the public sector, the Times reported.’
